600 mA synchronous buck with a wide input window
The LTC3448EMS8E#PBF: The 1.5 MHz to 2.25 MHz switching frequency keeps the output ripple low enough that a small ceramic output cap handles the filtering — no electrolytic needed for most loads. Internal synchronous rectification eliminates the external catch diode, saving a component and a placement site on the board.
The 600 mA output is derated above 70°C ambient depending on the board's copper area — a four-layer board with a solid ground plane carries the full current rating across the temperature band.
