Smart charger for 2-cell SMBus packs
It handles charge management for a pair of series cells, with an SPI interface for host communication and over-current fault protection.
Supply headroom and protection
The 28V max supply voltage gives enough headroom to charge a 2-cell stack from a typical 19V or 24V input rail. Over-current protection is built in, so an external fuse or current-sense resistor may be simplified on the BOM. The SPI bus lets a host microcontroller set charge parameters and monitor status — useful for systems that log battery health or enforce charge profiles.
The Tape & Reel variant (TR suffix) is the standard production reel; Cut Tape (CT) is also available for prototyping or small runs.
