The LT8584IFE#TRPBF is a battery balancer from Analog Devices, designed to equalize charge across 1 to 12 series-connected cells in a lithium-ion stack. It handles the full automotive temperature range from -40°C to 125°C junction, so it survives under-hood thermal cycling without derating.
Package and rework reality
The exposed pad means rework is straightforward with hot air: preheat the board to 100°C, hit the pad with a 340°C nozzle, and lift the part without lifting adjacent passives. Pin 1 is at the top-left corner of the TSSOP body — no ambiguity under the microscope.
It drops into the same footprint without rewiring.
