PWM generator with 48-channel drive
The LT8500ITJ#PBF is a PWM generator IC from Analog Devices designed specifically for LED lighting applications, taking a single CMOS or TTL input and expanding it to 48 independent PWM outputs in a 1:48 ratio. Operating from a 3V to 5.5V supply with a maximum switching frequency of 50 MHz, it handles the timing resolution needed for multi-channel LED dimming and color-mixing without external clock multiplication.
Industrial temperature and compact footprint
Housed in a 56-pin VTLA exposed pad package (6x6 mm TLAQFN), the thermal pad under the package sinks heat to the PCB ground plane — critical when driving 48 channels at full duty cycle.
