Dual-output precision reference with 20 mA drive
The LT6658BIMSE-1.8#PBF is a dual series voltage reference that provides two independent outputs from a single 4.5V to 36V input rail. Each output is trimmed to ±0.1% initial accuracy and rated for 20 mA continuous current — enough to drive an ADC reference input and a sensor bridge simultaneously without a buffer. The 1.8V fixed output is the primary reference; the second output is adjustable up to 6V via an external divider, giving flexibility for mixed-voltage analog front-ends in a single package.
For a 16-bit ADC with a 1.8V reference, 1 ppm corresponds to about 1.8 µV p-p at the reference input — well below the 1 LSB noise floor of most SAR converters, meaning the reference doesn't limit the converter's effective resolution. The temperature coefficient is 20 ppm/°C.
