Controller identity and key parametrics
The LT3795EFE#PBF is a DC DC controller from Analog Devices, designed as a constant-current, constant-voltage LED driver controller for boost, buck-boost, and SEPIC topologies. Its 4.5 V to 110 V supply range covers automotive cold-crank and load-dump transients without an external clamp — the internal bias regulator handles the full swing. Switching frequency is programmable from 100 kHz to 1 MHz, letting you trade inductor size against efficiency: lower frequency reduces switching losses, higher frequency shrinks the magnetics.
Dimming and output control
Supports both analog and PWM dimming — the PWM input accepts an external logic signal for wide-range, linear dimming down to zero current, while the analog control pin sets a DC current level. Single output, no internal switch — the controller drives an external N-channel MOSFET, so the output current ceiling depends on the external FET and inductor choice, not the IC itself.
Lifecycle and compliance
Supplied in tube packaging. The tape-and-reel variant (LT3795EFE#TRPBF) is available for pick-and-place volume; the die and electrical specs are identical.
