Accuracy and temperature range: what the ±2°C spec means for your measurement
This ±3°C limit at the extremes is the number to budget for in a cold-start or high-temp fault condition — the sensor still reports, but the error budget grows by 1°C outside the central band. The I²C output keeps the bus wiring simple — two pull-up resistors and a shared clock line, with the DS75U acting as a slave device.
Programmable features and power management
Built-in programmability includes an output switch with a programmable temperature limit, adjustable resolution, and two low-power modes: shutdown and standby. The shutdown mode drops the supply current to near-zero for battery-powered loggers that wake periodically to take a reading.
Package options and board-fit note
Shipped in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) options, the TR format suits automated pick-and-place for volume production. The device is ROHS3 Compliant, with no exemption-based restrictions on the bill of materials.
