Three-channel sequencer for multi-rail power-up discipline
The Maxim Integrated DS1830AU+ is a 3-channel voltage sequencer that monitors up to three supply rails and holds the system in reset until all voltages are within tolerance. It monitors a 3.3V threshold on the primary channel and two additional adjustable inputs, making it a fit for multi-voltage designs in industrial control, telecom line cards, and embedded systems where power-up sequencing prevents latch-up or bus contention. The active-low reset output is open-drain, so it can be wire-ORed with other reset sources or pulled up to a different voltage rail. The reset timeout is factory-selectable among 10ms, 20ms, or 50ms minimum durations, which lets you match the power-good hold-off to the slowest rail's ramp time without external timing components.
Housed in an 8-uMAX/uSOP package (3.00mm width, 0.118" pitch), the DS1830AU+ is a surface-mount device suited for dense PCB layouts where board area is at a premium.
