The Maxim Integrated DS1233Z-15+ is a single-channel simple reset/power-on reset supervisor from the EconoReset series. It monitors a single voltage rail with a threshold of 4.125V and asserts an active-low, open-drain reset output when the supply drops below that level. The reset output remains asserted for a minimum of 250ms after the supply returns above the threshold, giving the system time to stabilize.
Package and mounting — SOT-223-3 footprint
The DS1233Z-15+ comes in a surface-mount SOT-223-3 package (also referenced as TO-261-4, TO-261AA). This is a three-lead package with a large tab that can be soldered to a PCB pad for heat dissipation, though the part's power dissipation is low. The SOT-223-3 footprint is common and easy to route; no special layout considerations beyond standard decoupling are needed.
