3-axis accelerometer with selectable g-range and digital output
The ADXL350BCEZ-RL7 is a 3-axis digital accelerometer from Analog Devices, measuring acceleration on X, Y, and Z axes with user-selectable full-scale ranges of ±1g, ±2g, ±4g, or ±8g. It outputs digital data over either an I²C or SPI interface, making it straightforward to integrate with a microcontroller or DSP without an external ADC.
Bandwidth and sensitivity trade-offs
The user-programmable bandwidth spans from 3.125 Hz up to 1.6 kHz, so you can trade noise performance against response time depending on the application — a 50 Hz bandwidth is fine for tilt sensing, while vibration monitoring might need the full 1.6 kHz. Sensitivity scales with the selected g-range: at ±1g it delivers 512 LSB/g, dropping to 64 LSB/g at the ±10g setting (the datasheet lists sensitivity for ±10g, though the range is ±8g — the 64 LSB/g figure corresponds to the ±10g scale). An adjustable bandwidth feature lets you set the internal low-pass filter corner via the digital interface, avoiding the need for external capacitors.
RoHS compliance and packaging options
The ADXL350BCEZ-RL7 is ROHS3 compliant, meeting the latest EU restriction directive for lead and other hazardous substances. It is offered in Tape & Reel (TR) and Cut Tape (CT) options, suitable for both prototype builds and production reels.
