The Analog Devices ADUM6210ARSZ is a general-purpose digital isolator from the IsoPower and iCoupler series that integrates both signal isolation and an isolated DC-DC converter in a single 20-SSOP package.

The 3750Vrms isolation voltage rating is specified for the 20-SSOP package. For designs requiring 5000Vrms, the ADUM6402ARWZ (4-channel, 5000Vrms) is a functional alternative.

Can ADUM6210ARSZ be used for isolating I2C or SPI signals?

The ADUM6210ARSZ has two unidirectional channels with a 1Mbps data rate, which is sufficient for standard-mode I2C (100kHz) and SPI up to 1MHz. For bidirectional I2C isolation, an external direction-control circuit is needed because the channels are unidirectional. The 2.5ns rise/fall time and 50ns propagation delay keep signal timing within typical I2C and SPI budgets.
