The ADUM6201ARIZ-RL is a 2-channel general-purpose digital isolator from Analog Devices' IsoPower and iCoupler family. Its headline feature is an integrated isolated DC-DC converter — meaning this single 16-SOIC package replaces both a separate isolated signal isolator and a discrete isolated power module. That shrinks the bill of materials and board area for designs needing a clean isolation barrier with a local, isolated supply rail. Rated for 5000Vrms isolation, it suits medical equipment (patient-contact isolation), industrial motor drives, and any system where galvanic isolation is a safety or noise requirement. The magnetic coupling technology handles 1Mbps data rates with 100ns typical propagation delay — fine for isolated SPI, UART, or general-purpose logic signals. Common-mode transient immunity is specified at a minimum of 25kV/µs, which means it holds the data integrity across the barrier even when fast-switching power stages (IGBTs, SiC MOSFETs) are slinging high-voltage edges on the other side. The 2.5ns typical rise/fall time keeps signal integrity clean for the data rate.
