Integrated isolated power in a 16-SOIC
The ADUM6200CRWZ from Analog Devices combines two general-purpose digital isolation channels with an integrated isolated DC-DC converter — the IsoPower feature — in a single 16-SOIC package. This means the secondary side gets its own regulated power rail without a separate transformer or module, saving board area and BOM cost. The magnetic-coupling technology (iCoupler) handles data at up to 25 Mbps with 5000 Vrms isolation, suited for industrial interfaces where a reinforced barrier is required.
With 5000 Vrms rated isolation, this part supports reinforced insulation per IEC 60747-5-5 in a wide-body SOIC-16 footprint. Creepage and clearance distances for the 7.50 mm body width meet the 8 mm minimum typical for 300 Vrms working voltage in pollution degree 2 environments. Common-mode transient immunity is specified at 25 kV/µs minimum, which keeps data integrity during fast-switching events in motor drives or inverter stages.
Supply range and logic compatibility
Unidirectional channels (2 inputs on side 1, 0 on side 2) mean this variant is wired for data flowing from primary to secondary — verify direction when ordering, as the ADUM6200 family has bidirectional options. Propagation delay is 60 ns max, with 6 ns pulse-width distortion, clean enough for most SPI and UART links at 25 Mbps.
Industrial temperature grade and environment
The 16-SOIC package is surface-mount, standard reflow profile with MSL 3 moisture sensitivity — bake before reflow if the bag has been open past the floor-life window.
