Four-channel unidirectional isolator with 5000 Vrms barrier
The ADUM4402CRWZ is a 4-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from Analog Devices' iCoupler series, built on magnetic coupling technology. Data rate is rated at 90 Mbps, with typical rise/fall times of 2.5 ns and a maximum propagation delay of 32 ns in either direction. The 25 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) ensures data integrity across the barrier in electrically noisy environments like motor drives or switched-mode power supplies.
90 Mbps and 2/2 channel split — SPI isolation fit
The 90 Mbps data rate supports SPI clock rates up to 45 MHz in double-data-rate mode or 90 MHz in single-data-rate mode, which covers the vast majority of SPI peripherals (ADCs, DACs, sensors, memory). The 2/2 input/output split means two channels run from side 1 to side 2 and two from side 2 to side 1 — exactly the four signals needed for a full-duplex SPI link (SCLK, MOSI, MISO, and a chip-select or interrupt line). If your design needs all four channels in the same direction, the ADUM4400CRIZ (4/0 split) is the same part with a different channel direction assignment; the ADUM3400CRWZ drops the isolation rating to 2500 Vrms in the same 16-SOIC footprint.
Active lifecycle — no obsolescence pressure
For dual-sourcing or supply resilience, the ADUM4400CRIZ is a pin-compatible alternate with the same 5000 Vrms rating and 90 Mbps data rate, differing only in channel direction (all four inputs on side 1).
