The ADUM4150ARIZ is a 6-channel SPI digital isolator from Analog Devices' iCoupler® SPIsolator™ family, built around magnetic coupling. It delivers 5000 Vrms galvanic isolation in a 20-SOIC wide-body package, with a 40 Mbps data rate that keeps up with fast SPI clocks without adding bus wait states. The six unidirectional channels are configured as four on the input side and two on the output side — a natural fit for the SPI signal set (SCK, MOSI, MISO, chip select) plus two extra control lines.
Supply range and logic-level flexibility
That saves board area and one BOM line.
The 25 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) minimum is the spec that matters when the part sits next to fast-switching IGBTs or SiC MOSFETs — without it, the isolation barrier can glitch and corrupt the SPI frame.
Package and mounting
No exposed pad, no hidden thermal slug — just a standard gull-wing leadframe that lifts cleanly with hot air and reflows back without trouble.
