5-channel, 150 Mbps digital isolator with 5000 Vrms reinforced isolation
The Analog Devices ADUM252N0BRIZ is a 5-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from the iCoupler family, built around magnetic coupling technology.
75 kV/µs CMTI — what it means for motor-drive and inverter designs
Common-mode transient immunity of 75 kV/µs (minimum) means the part maintains data integrity across the isolation barrier during fast voltage slew events common in SiC/GaN inverter stages or industrial motor drives. Paired with 13 ns max propagation delay and 4.5 ns pulse-width distortion, the timing budget stays tight enough for high-speed PWM signal isolation or encoder interfaces running at several hundred kHz.
Temperature range and package — industrial and automotive under-hood capable
The 16-SOIC wide-body (7.50 mm width) package provides the creepage distance needed to maintain the 5000 Vrms isolation rating in high-humidity or polluted environments. Surface-mount assembly with standard reflow profiles; MSL level per the bag label.
Channel configuration — 3 inputs on side 1, 2 inputs on side 2
With a 3/2 input split (side 1 / side 2), the ADUM252N0BRIZ handles three signals crossing from the primary to the secondary domain and two in the reverse direction. That asymmetric count fits isolating a three-wire SPI bus (SCK, MOSI, CS) from the controller side while returning MISO and an extra status signal back. All channels are unidirectional, so each direction is fixed at the pin level.
