The ADUM240D0BRIZ is a 4-channel unidirectional digital isolator from Analog Devices' iCoupler series, using magnetic coupling to pass signals across a 5000 Vrms isolation barrier.
All four channels are unidirectional with inputs on Side 1 and outputs on Side 2 (4/0 configuration). That means this part is strictly a downstream isolator—data flows one way only. If you need bidirectional isolation (e.g., for a half-duplex RS-485 bus), you will need a part with mixed input/output counts like the ADUM242E0BRIZ (2/2). For a 3-channel version with the same 150 Mbps speed, look at the ADUM230E1BRIZ (3/0).
Temperature range and field reliability
The 75 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity means it will not glitch when a motor drive or inverter switches—a common failure point in noisy power-stage designs.
