The ADUM2402CRWZ-RL is a quad-channel digital isolator from Analog Devices' iCoupler series, built around magnetic coupling technology. It delivers 5000 Vrms isolation in a 16-SOIC wide-body package — enough to meet reinforced insulation requirements for medical, industrial motor drive, and grid-tied power equipment. The 90 Mbps data rate keeps up with fast SPI, CAN FD, and general-purpose parallel buses without adding a timing bottleneck. With a 25 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity, the part holds its data integrity through the switching noise of an inverter stage or a motor drive phase leg.
Channel count and direction — 2/2 unidirectional
Four unidirectional channels split 2 and 2 across the isolation barrier — two from Side 1 to Side 2, two from Side 2 to Side 1. That 2/2 configuration suits bidirectional data paths like SPI (MISO/MOSI plus two control lines) or a UART with flow control. Each channel's propagation delay is 32 ns max, with 2 ns pulse-width distortion, so the part can carry timing-sensitive signals like PWM or encoder outputs without skew issues.
Supply range and operating temperature
No isolated power is generated on-chip — each side needs its own supply rail.
