Two-channel iCoupler with 150Mbps throughput for isolated data paths
It delivers 150Mbps data rate per channel with 13ns propagation delay and 3ns pulse-width distortion, making it a fit for high-speed isolated interfaces like SPI, UART, and CAN FD where timing margin matters. The 5000Vrms isolation rating covers reinforced insulation requirements for industrial motor drives, EV traction inverters, and medical patient-contact equipment. Automotive grade qualification extends the operating temperature range to -40°C to 125°C, which suits under-hood electronics and chassis-domain controllers where ambient temps climb above the commercial 85°C ceiling.
Common-mode transient immunity is rated at a minimum 75kV/µs. In a motor-drive or inverter design with fast-switching SiC or GaN stages, the isolated side sees large dV/dt events coupled through parasitic capacitance. A part with CMTI below 25kV/µs can glitch or latch the output. The 75kV/µs floor here maintains data integrity through those edges without extra filtering on the output side. Rise and fall times are both 2.5ns typical, which keeps the output edges clean at 150Mbps but also means the signal path acts as a short antenna at those harmonics. Keep the trace length from isolator output to the receiving load under 15mm on a standard FR4 stackup to avoid ringing. A 33Ω series resistor at the source damps the edge if the trace runs longer.
Automotive-grade sourcing and lifecycle posture
ROHS3 compliant. The automotive grade means the part is manufactured and tested to AEC-Q100-equivalent flow, which is required for PPAP submission on tier-1 automotive programs. Date code continuity is maintained — no gap risk for a multi-year build.
Package and footprint notes for the 16-SOIC wide body
Supplied in tube, 16-SOIC wide-body package with 7.50mm body width and 1.27mm pin pitch. The wide SOIC provides the 8mm creepage distance needed to maintain the 5000Vrms reinforced isolation rating in the end equipment. Surface-mount assembly with standard reflow profile;.
