5000 Vrms isolation in an SOIC-8 — what it buys you
The ADUM210N1BRIZ is a single-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from ADI's iCoupler series, built on magnetic coupling technology. It packs 5000 Vrms of galvanic isolation into an 8-pin SOIC wide-body (7.50 mm width) package — the kind of isolation you need when a fault on one side of the barrier must not propagate to the other. The single channel runs at 150 Mbps with 2.5 ns typical rise/fall times, so it handles fast SPI or isolated gate-drive signals cleanly.
75 kV/µs CMTI — the number that matters in a motor drive
Common-mode transient immunity is rated at a minimum 75 kV/µs. The 13 ns max propagation delay and 3 ns max pulse-width distortion maintain timing margin in a closed-loop control path.
