Product details

Four-channel unidirectional isolation at 2 Mbps

The ADUM1440ARQZ-RL7 is a four-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from the iCoupler series, built around magnetic coupling technology. It delivers 2500Vrms of galvanic isolation across a 2.25V to 3.6V supply range, with a 2Mbps data rate and 180ns propagation delay. All four inputs are on side 1 (4/0 channel configuration), making this a straight-through isolator for signals that all flow the same direction — SPI clock and data lines, for example, or a bank of GPIOs. The 25kV/µs common-mode transient immunity keeps the link intact in noisy environments like motor drives or switching power stages.

Industrial temperature grade and 16-QSOP footprint

The 16-QSOP package (3.90mm body width) is a compact, surface-mount footprint that saves board area compared to wider SOIC isolators. Supply decoupling should follow the iCoupler app-note guidelines: a 0.1µF ceramic close to each supply pin, with the ground plane uninterrupted under the part to maintain isolation creepage.
