3000 Vrms isolation, 150 Mbps — the barrier spec that defines the fit
The ADUM141E0BRZ is a 4-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from Analog Devices' iCoupler series, built on magnetic coupling technology. It provides 3000 Vrms isolation between input and output sides, with a data rate of 150 Mbps and propagation delay of 13 ns max. The 3/1 input-side/side-2 channel configuration (three channels forward, one reverse) suits applications where the primary data flow is unidirectional but a single feedback or status signal must cross the barrier in the opposite direction.
75 kV/µs CMTI — why it matters for motor drives and inverters
Common-mode transient immunity is rated at 75 kV/µs minimum. In a motor-drive or inverter application where fast-switching IGBTs or SiC MOSFETs create high dV/dt across the isolation barrier, this CMTI ensures the output does not glitch or lose data. A part with lower CMTI would require additional filtering or derating in those environments.
The same part can bridge a 1.8 V microcontroller on one side and a 5 V peripheral on the other, simplifying the BOM.
It is ROHS3 compliant and not subject to a last-time-buy or end-of-life notice. This part is suitable for qualification into new production builds without supply-chain obsolescence concern.
