Three-channel unidirectional isolator for industrial signal paths
The ADUM1310BRWZ is a three-channel digital isolator from Analog Devices' iCoupler family, built with magnetic coupling technology. The 10 Mbps data rate and 25 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity make it a fit for isolating SPI, UART, or general-purpose digital signals in motor drives, industrial PLCs, and inverter-fed equipment where fast voltage transients are the norm.
Package and mounting
Propagation delay is symmetrical at 50 ns max for both rising and falling edges, with pulse-width distortion held to 5 ns max. That matters when you are clocking a synchronous interface at 10 Mbps — the 50 ns delay eats into the bit period, so keep the bus short and the trace impedance controlled. The 2.5 ns typical rise/fall time is fast enough to cause ringing if the load capacitance is high; a 33 Ω series resistor at the output cleans it up without slowing the edge past the spec.
ROHS3 compliant, no isolated power on board — it is a straight signal isolator, not a DC-DC combo. For production BOMs that need a second-source hedge, the closest functional match is the ADUM1300BRWZ, which drops the isolation voltage to 2500 Vrms but keeps the same 10 Mbps data rate and pin-compatible footprint. If you need 3750 Vrms with a mixed input/output direction, the ADUM1311BRWZ-RL swaps one channel to an output on side 1.
