The ADUM130D1BRWZ is a three-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from the ADI iCoupler family. It uses magnetic coupling to pass signals across a 3750 Vrms isolation barrier at data rates up to 150 Mbps, with propagation delays of 13 ns max and pulse-width distortion within 3 ns.
75 kV/µs CMTI — why it matters for motor drives and inverters
Common-mode transient immunity is rated at 75 kV/µs minimum. In a variable-frequency drive or a switched-mode power supply, the isolation barrier sees fast voltage slew rates from the switching node. A CMTI spec this high means the part will not latch or corrupt data when the ground plane jumps several hundred volts in a few nanoseconds. For the same reason, it suits industrial fieldbus interfaces and medical equipment where transient immunity is a regulatory requirement.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in a 16-lead SOIC with 7.50 mm body width (the wide-body variant), the ADUM130D1BRWZ provides the creepage distance needed for reinforced isolation in 250 Vrms working-voltage applications.
Lifecycle and compliance
It is fully RoHS3 compliant. For a production BOM, this means no near-term obsolescence risk and no exemption expiry to track.
