Fixed 3V LDO, 1.2A rail
The ADP7156ACPZ-3.0-R7 is a single-output linear regulator delivering a fixed 3V rail at up to 1.2A continuous. Input range tops at 5.5V, so it runs cleanly off a 5V or 3.3V intermediate bus with the dropout margin to spare. That covers engine-bay ambient and hot-side enclosure air without derating the output current.
Housed in a 10-lead LFCSP-WD (3x3 mm) with an exposed pad. Surface-mount only. Supplied on tape and reel (7-inch reel, standard quantity) or cut tape for prototype runs. The Enable pin lets a GPIO or supervisor IC gate the output without a series FET.
Protection and quiescent draw
Built-in over-current and over-temperature protection — the regulator folds back under fault and auto-recovers when the die cools. Quiescent current is 8 mA typical, rising to 12 mA max under full load. No external pass transistor needed. Analog Devices lists the ADP7156ACPZ-3.0-R7 as active and ROHS3 compliant.
