7 GHz PLL synthesizer for microwave LO generation
The ADF4107BRUZ is a PLL-based frequency synthesizer (RF type) from Analog Devices, rated for a maximum input frequency of 7 GHz. That 7 GHz ceiling puts it squarely in the C-band and upper S-band — think satellite downconverters, point-to-point microwave links, and 5G mmWave test heads where the LO needs to reach into the 6-7 GHz range without a multiplier stage.
Operates from a single 2.7V to 3.3V rail — a common 3.3V supply is fine, but the lower end matters if you are sharing a 2.8V LDO with a baseband ASIC.
Housed in a 16-TSSOP package (0.173", 4.40 mm width), surface-mount only. The 0.65 mm pitch is layout-friendly — a 2-layer board can route the supply and loop-filter components without vias. Keep the analog and digital supply traces separated to avoid pulling the VCO control line.
