RF PLL synthesizer for 6 GHz signal chains
The ADF4106BCPZ is a PLL-based clock/frequency synthesizer from Analog Devices, designed for RF applications up to 6 GHz. It accepts CMOS or TTL inputs and delivers a clock output, with a 2:1 input-to-output ratio. The single-circuit device operates from a 2.7V to 3.3V supply. The 6 GHz ceiling covers common cellular backhaul and satellite downconverter LO generation.
Package and thermal interface
Housed in a 20-lead WFQFN with exposed pad, the ADF4106BCPZ uses a 4x4 mm LFCSP footprint. The exposed paddle must be soldered to a ground plane for both electrical reference and thermal dissipation.
