4.8 GHz clock distribution in a 5x5 mm package
The ADCLK948BCPZ is a 2:8 fanout buffer and multiplexer from Analog Devices' SiGe series, capable of distributing clocks up to 4.8 GHz with LVPECL outputs. The 2:8 ratio means two selectable input sources feed eight output copies — handy for splitting a reference clock to multiple ADCs, FPGAs, or SerDes transceivers without adding external fan-out trees. Input flexibility covers CML, CMOS, LVDS, and LVPECL levels, so it can sit directly behind a crystal oscillator, a PLL output, or a differential line without a level translator. All input-output paths are differential, preserving signal integrity at multi-GHz edge rates.
Supply rail and temperature range for base-station duty
That covers outdoor telecom cabinets, radio heads, and industrial instrumentation without a derating headache. The 32-LFCSP (5x5 mm) exposed-pad package helps pull heat out through the PCB ground plane. The small footprint is a win for dense multi-channel boards.
Active production — no LTB pressure
The 32-LFCSP package is standard for Analog Devices high-speed clock parts, so tray or reel quantities are readily available through the distribution network.
