100 MHz pixel clock, dual-interface video digitizer
The AD9880KSTZ-100 is an Analog Devices interface IC that accepts both analog and HDMI video inputs, digitizing at a 100 MHz pixel clock rate — sufficient for resolutions up to 1080p at 60 Hz or UXGA (1600x1200) at 60 Hz. The dual interface means a single part can handle legacy VGA signals and modern HDMI sources, simplifying the front-end design for monitors, projectors, and video capture cards.
Supply rail tolerance and layout consideration
Any ripple or droop beyond that tolerance can push the PLL out of lock or degrade the ADC linearity. A dedicated LDO feeding the analog supply pin, with local 100 nF + 10 µF decoupling per the datasheet recommendation, keeps the rail inside the window.
