16-bit SAR ADC with differential input
The AD7687BRMZRL7 is a 16-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from the PulSAR® series, sampling at 250k samples per second. The differential input architecture rejects common-mode noise on the analog front-end, which matters when the signal source is remote or shares a ground return with a switching converter.
Supply range and interface
The SPI/DSP serial interface keeps the pin count to 10, and the single-ended conversion start is handled through the SPI frame — no extra GPIO for a convst line.
Package and tape-and-reel variant
Housed in a 10-lead MSOP (3.00 mm width), the AD7687BRMZRL7 is the tape-and-reel orderable version of the base AD7687BRMZ (tube). The 0.50 mm pitch demands a clean decoupling layout — place the 0.1 µF cap within 2 mm of each supply pin, and keep the reference input trace short to avoid picking up digital noise from the SPI bus.
