Dual 12-bit DAC with parallel interface
The AD7547KPZ is a dual 12-bit digital-to-analog converter from Analog Devices, delivering two independent DAC channels in a single 28-PLCC package. Its R-2R architecture and current-unbuffered output make it a fit for applications where the load defines the output scaling — the external op-amp sets the voltage swing and the reference sets the full-scale current. Settling time is 1.5 µs to ±0.5 LSB, which means the DAC can update at rates approaching 600 kHz before the output settles to 12-bit accuracy. The parallel data interface (12-bit wide bus) allows direct connection to a microcontroller or DSP without a serial shift clock, simplifying the timing budget in high-throughput control loops.
Package, supply, and temperature range
Housed in a 28-lead PLCC (J-lead), the AD7547KPZ occupies a 11.51×11.51 mm footprint and is surface-mount only. Analog and digital supplies share the same 10.8 V to 16.5 V rail, which simplifies the power tree but means the reference voltage must be derived from the same supply or a separate external reference.
