The AD7418ARMZ-REEL7 is a digital local temperature sensor from Analog Devices, outputting temperature data over an I²C-compatible serial interface with 10-bit resolution.

On-chip features for system-level thermal management

Built-in features include an output switch for alert signaling, a programmable temperature limit register, and a shutdown mode to reduce power consumption when temperature monitoring is not required. The programmable limit allows the sensor to assert an overtemperature alert without continuous polling by the host controller, offloading the I²C bus. Shutdown mode drops the supply current to microamp levels, suitable for battery-powered or duty-cycled applications.
