Output scaling and accuracy at the test point
The AD22100AT delivers a ratiometric analog voltage output scaled at 22.5 mV per degree Celsius. At the 25°C test condition the nominal output sits at 1.375 V (22.5 mV/°C × 25°C + 0.25 V offset typical), so a microcontroller ADC reading that voltage directly maps to temperature without external amplification. That ±3.7°C band at the extremes is the datasheet's guaranteed limit — for a cold-junction compensation application the tighter ±2°C at room temperature is the relevant figure for calibration.
The part operates from a 4 V to 6.5 V supply, which covers common 5 V ±10% rails. In a typical PLC analog input module or motor drive control board, the 4 V minimum supply means a 5 V rail with 20% ripple still keeps the sensor in regulation. The 150°C absolute-maximum storage rating gives margin for reflow or wave-solder profiles on the through-hole leads.
Through-hole TO-92 package fit
Housed in a TO-92-3 (TO-226AA) through-hole package, the AD22100AT mounts directly into a 0.100-inch pitch PCB footprint with 0.020-inch diameter lead holes. The three leads are the standard pinout: V+ (left), GND (center), VOUT (right) when the flat face is toward you. The bag packaging means the parts ship in anti-static bags, not tape-and-reel — typical for through-hole components ordered in engineering quantities or for manual assembly.
