Hermetic quad op-amp for harsh environments
This part is suited for avionics, satellite, downhole instrumentation, and other high-reliability systems where the ceramic LCC package and wide temperature rating are mandatory.
The 20-CLCC (9x9 mm) is a leadless ceramic chip carrier — surface-mount, but with gold-plated castellations rather than formed leads. The bulk shipping form means no tape-and-reel handling, so plan for manual placement or a waffle-pack feeder.
It is RoHS non-compliant, which is typical for hermetic military-grade parts — the lead-rich solder finish is required for reliability in high-stress environments. For new designs that must meet RoHS, a tin-lead exemption or a separate waiver is needed.
It is not a high-speed part; driving a 12-bit ADC at >1 MSPS would need a faster amplifier. The 600 µV input offset is typical for a quad bipolar op-amp of this era; if your application needs sub-100 µV offset, look at a precision part like the ADA4077-1 (single) or AD8668 (quad, rail-to-rail). The 300 nA input bias current rules out high-impedance sources above 100 kΩ without a buffer.
