The unshielded ferrite core means the inductor radiates a magnetic field; keep sensitive analog traces or adjacent inductors at least one body width away to avoid coupling.

Surface-mount tape-and-reel packaging supports automated pick-and-place assembly. The ±20% tolerance is typical for power-grade wirewound inductors and is acceptable for output filter roles where the closed-loop controller compensates for the inductance spread.
Self-resonant frequency and temperature range
The 16 MHz self-resonant frequency sets the upper limit for inductive behavior — above this frequency the component behaves capacitively. For a 22 µH inductor, this SRF is consistent with a ferrite-core wirewound construction and supports switching frequencies up to a few MHz before the impedance roll-off becomes significant.
