48 MHz Cortex-M0+ with USB — compact industrial MCU
The NXP MKL27Z128VFM4 is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ microcontroller from the Kinetis KL2 series, clocked at 48 MHz with 128 KB Flash and 32 KB RAM. It integrates a full-speed USB controller alongside I²C, SPI, and UART/USART serial interfaces.
The 32 KB RAM handles double-buffered USB endpoints and a few hundred bytes of packet data; designs streaming continuous ADC samples over USB should budget RAM for a circular buffer. The internal oscillator trims to within 1–2% accuracy, sufficient for USB full-speed timing without an external crystal in many applications.
