The NXP MKL25Z64VFM4 is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ microcontroller from the Kinetis KL2 series, clocked at 48 MHz. It carries 64 KB of Flash and 8 KB of RAM, enough for a USB stack plus a moderate control application. USB OTG on the connectivity block means this part can act as either host or device without an external PHY — useful for field-upgrade dongles or data-logger interfaces. The seven 16-bit ADC channels and one 12-bit DAC cover multi-sensor acquisition and a single analog output, so a mixed-signal control loop fits without an external converter.

The 23 GPIOs are enough for a keypad, a small TFT parallel bus, or a handful of sensor interrupts, but not for a memory-mapped external bus.
