The LPC5514JBD64E runs a single ARM Cortex-M33 core at 150 MHz, which puts it in the mid-range performance band for Cortex-M MCUs. That clock rate is enough to handle a CANbus gateway with a USB host stack running concurrently, or to service a 10-channel 16-bit SAR ADC conversion sequence without CPU intervention via the DMA controller. The 150 MHz ceiling also leaves timing margin for control loops that sample at tens of kilohertz — motor current regulation or PFC switching, for instance — where the M33's single-cycle multiply-accumulate and hardware divide keep the loop tight.
