180 MHz Cortex-M4 with 512 KB flash — HMI and protocol gateway fit
The NXP LPC54605J512ET180E is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 single-core MCU running at 180 MHz, with 512 KB flash and 200 KB RAM. It packs 145 I/O lines and a full set of serial interfaces — USB, I²C, SPI, UART/USART — plus a 12-channel 12-bit ADC, all in a 180-TFBGA (12x12 mm) tray package. The wide supply range of 1.71 V to 3.6 V and industrial temperature grade from -40°C to 105°C make it suited for outdoor telecom, factory automation panels, and embedded HMI controllers that need a single-chip compute core with rich peripheral integration.
Memory and peripheral headroom
The 512 KB flash and 200 KB RAM support firmware images with GUI libraries, protocol stacks, and data logging buffers without external memory. On-chip 16 KB EEPROM emulation handles calibration constants and configuration parameters that survive a reset. The 145 GPIO count leaves room for parallel LCD data buses, keypad matrices, and sensor arrays alongside the standard serial interfaces.
