The NXP LPC54114J256BD64151 pairs an ARM Cortex-M4 core running at 100 MHz with a Cortex-M0+ core at the same speed. The M4 handles the signal-processing or protocol-heavy workload — sensor fusion, audio, or control loops — while the M0+ offloads housekeeping like GPIO toggling, UART polling, and wake-up management. This asymmetric split lets one firmware image cover two tasks without an external companion MCU, saving a board position and the associated power supply routing. The 50 available GPIOs and the 12-channel 12-bit ADC cover sensor inputs and actuator outputs for a compact industrial control board.
