100 MHz dual-core — partitioning the workload
The 100 MHz Cortex-M4 handles DSP and floating-point math; the M0+ companion core runs at the same clock and can offload housekeeping like I²C polling or low-power sensor reads. That split keeps the main thread deterministic without a separate low-power coprocessor. The 192 KB RAM gives enough headroom for double-buffered audio or a small real-time OS heap.
Connectivity and I/O in a WLCSP footprint
The 49-WLCSP (3.44×3.44 mm) saves board area but requires careful PCB layout for solder-joint reliability — the package is best suited for controlled assembly lines with X-ray inspection capability. An internal oscillator is available, though an external crystal improves USB clock accuracy.
