8.2 µH shielded power inductor for automotive and industrial DC-DC
The Murata LQH43PH8R2M26L is a shielded wirewound inductor from the LQH43 series, built on a ferrite drum core and wound for 8.2 µH ±20% inductance. Rated for 1.3 A continuous with a saturation current floor of 1.1 A — the 200 mA gap between the two ratings means the core saturates before the winding overheats, so the usable current in a buck converter is limited by Isat, not the thermal rating. Maximum DC resistance is 153.6 mOhm; at 1.3 A the I²R loss is about 260 mW, which the shielded ferrite construction and 85 °C ambient rating handle without derating at the full current.
AEC-Q200 qualification and temperature profile
Self-resonant frequency is 25 MHz — the inductor behaves as an inductor below that frequency; above it the parasitic capacitance dominates, so it is best used in DC-DC converters switching below 5 MHz where the impedance is still inductive.
