10 µH shielded power inductor for automotive and industrial DC-DC stages
The LQH43PH100M26L is a 10 µH ±20% shielded wirewound inductor from Murata's LQH43 series, rated for 1.17 A continuous current with a saturation floor of 1.05 A. The 176.4 mOhm max DCR means the copper loss at full rated current sits around 240 mW — a figure the 85°C ambient rating must absorb without exceeding the part's temperature rise.
AEC-Q200 qualification and the deployment envelope
That covers the passenger cabin, infotainment cluster, and most ADAS sensor modules, but not the engine bay or transmission controller where 125°C ambient is typical. The ferrite core material and shielded construction keep the magnetic field contained, so adjacent traces carrying 24 V or CAN bus signals see minimal coupled noise.
Saturation current and the real-world derating rule
The 1.05 A saturation current (Isat) is the DC bias level at which the inductance drops by 30% from the nominal 10 µH value. In a buck converter with 30% peak-to-peak ripple, the peak inductor current hits about 1.35 A at a 1.17 A DC load — that exceeds the Isat threshold, so the effective inductance sags and the ripple current rises further. For this reason, the part is best applied where the DC load plus half the ripple current stays below 1.05 A, or where the ripple amplitude is low enough to keep the peak under the saturation knee.
