2.2 µH power filter inductor with a 2.3 A saturation ceiling
The Murata LQH43PB2R2M26L is a 2.2 µH shielded wirewound inductor in the LQH43 series, built on a ferrite drum core. Its 1.12 A continuous current rating and 50.4 mOhm max DCR define the DC loss budget in a buck regulator output filter, while the 2.3 A saturation current (Isat) marks the hard ceiling where inductance collapses — stay below this under transient load to keep the ripple current under control. The 45 MHz self-resonant frequency (SRF) means the inductor looks inductive well above the 1–3 MHz switching frequencies common in POL converters; above SRF the impedance turns capacitive and the filter stops working.
The ferrite core material maintains its permeability across this range; the DCR shift with temperature follows the copper winding's 0.39%/°C coefficient, so budget the hot resistance when sizing the inductor for a 105°C ambient.
1812 SMD footprint and board-fit note
Package is 1812 (4532 metric), 4.50 x 3.20 mm land pattern with a 2.80 mm seated height. Shielded construction contains the flux within the core, reducing radiated EMI into adjacent traces or a nearby RF front-end. Surface-mount on standard FR-4 with a 1.6 oz copper pour under the pads handles the 1.12 A continuous current without exceeding a 40°C temperature rise, provided the PCB copper area matches the inductor's thermal pad.
