56 µH filtering with a 200 mA current ceiling
The Murata LQH43NN560J03L is a 56 µH drum-core wirewound inductor in the LQH43 series, rated for 200 mA continuous current with a maximum DC resistance of 1.7 Ohm. The 200 mA current rating is the continuous DC bias limit at 25°C ambient — exceeding this saturates the ferrite core and collapses the inductance. The 1.7 Ohm DCR produces a 68 mV voltage drop at full rated current, which factors into the downstream rail budget.
Unshielded ferrite core — layout matters
This is an unshielded inductor on a ferrite core. Magnetic flux radiates from the component body, so keep it 2–3 mm away from sensitive analog traces, shielded inductors, or low-level signal paths on the same layer. The self-resonant frequency of 9.3 MHz sets the upper useful band — above that the inductor behaves capacitively. Q factor is 35 at 1 MHz, adequate for tank circuits and resonant converters in that range.
