5.6 µH at 500 mA — DC bias and self-heating
The LQH43MN5R6K03L is a drum-core wirewound inductor from Murata's LQH43 series, rated 5.6 µH ±10% at 1 MHz and 500 mA continuous current. The 470 mOhm max DCR means the I²R loss hits 118 mW at full rated current—enough to raise the core temperature above ambient in a compact 1812 package. Unshielded construction with a ferrite core: the stray magnetic field couples into nearby PCB traces, so the layout should keep sensitive analog or high-impedance nodes at least a few millimeters away from the inductor body.
Industrial temperature grade and package
The tape-and-reel packaging (Cut Tape also available) suits pick-and-place assembly for medium-volume production runs.
Self-resonant frequency and Q factor
Self-resonant frequency is 33 MHz; above that the inductor behaves capacitively. The Q factor is 30 at 1 MHz—moderate for a drum-core wirewound, adequate for DC-DC converter output chokes and general filtering where the Q is not the primary selection axis.
