Active production — 330 µH wirewound in 1812 footprint
The LQH43MN331J03L is an active-production drum core wirewound inductor from Murata's LQH43 series, rated 330 µH ±5% with a 95 mA continuous current limit. The 8.2 Ohm maximum DCR sets the conduction loss — at 95 mA the I²R loss is about 74 mW, which is within the self-heating budget for the 1812 ferrite core body.
Q factor and self-resonant frequency — where it works
Q is 40 at 796 kHz, and the self-resonant frequency is 3.6 MHz — the inductor behaves as a pure inductive element well below 3.6 MHz; above that the parasitic capacitance dominates and the impedance rolls off. The inductance is tested at 1 MHz, which is within the usable band where the Q is still high enough for filtering and DC-DC output ripple attenuation.
Surface-mount 1812 — standard footprint for rework and layout
Unshielded construction means the magnetic field extends beyond the body — keep a 1:1 clearance to adjacent traces or sensitive components to avoid coupling.
