150 µH at 130 mA — the DC bias limit drives the fit
The LQH43MN151K03L is a drum-core wirewound inductor from Murata's LQH43 series, rated 150 µH ±10% at 1 MHz test frequency. The 130 mA current rating is the DC bias limit at which inductance typically drops by 10% — stay below it to hold the nominal value in a filter or DC-DC output choke.
Unshielded construction — plan the board placement
Unshielded means the magnetic field couples into nearby traces and components. Keep a keep-out zone around the 1812 footprint (4.50 mm x 3.20 mm) and avoid routing sensitive signal lines directly underneath or adjacent on the same layer. Self-resonant frequency is 5.5 MHz — above that the inductor behaves capacitively. Use it in switching converters switching below 1–2 MHz to stay well clear of the SRF.
3.7 Ohm DCR — the copper loss trade-off
DC resistance of 3.7 Ohm max means at 130 mA the I²R loss is about 62 mW. In a 125 °C ambient the temperature rise from self-heating is modest, but the part's operating range is -40 °C to 85 °C — derate current above 70 °C per the standard ferrite-core curve.
