What the 68 µH rating means for your filter or DC-DC stage
The LQH43CN680K03L is a 68 µH unshielded wirewound inductor from Murata's LQH43 series, built on a ferrite core in a standard 1812 (4532 Metric) SMD package. The 220 mA current rating and 1.7 Ohm max DCR set the DC loss and saturation floor — at full rated current, the resistive drop is 0.37 V, which matters for low-voltage rails where every millivolt counts. The self-resonant frequency of 8.4 MHz means it behaves as an inductor well below that point, making it a fit for switching regulators switching in the hundreds of kHz range or for LC filtering up to a few MHz.
Rework and board-fit: the 1812 package under the hot air
The 1812 body (4.50 mm x 3.20 mm, seated height 2.80 mm) is a two-terminal ferrite-core drum — no exposed pad, no thermal relief needed beyond the standard footprint. The unshielded construction means the magnetic field fringes into the board; keep sensitive traces or other magnetics at least one part-width away to avoid coupling.
