1.5 µH at 1 A — the power-stage filter inductor
The Murata LQH43CN1R5M03L is a 1.5 µH drum core wirewound inductor rated for 1 A continuous current. That current rating is the DC bias limit before the inductance starts rolling off — for a buck converter output filter drawing 800 mA steady-state, this part holds its inductance with margin. The 90 mOhm max DCR sets the copper loss at 90 mW at full rated current. In a 500 mA application the I²R loss drops to 22.5 mW, which keeps the temperature rise below 20°C in still air for most 1812 pad layouts.
85 MHz SRF — usable up to low-MHz switching
Self-resonant frequency of 85 MHz means the inductor behaves inductively well above the 1-2 MHz switching frequencies common in point-of-load converters. Above SRF the impedance turns capacitive, so this part suits switching regulators switching in the hundreds of kHz to a few MHz range.
1812 footprint — standard pick-and-place
The unshielded construction means the magnetic field fringes outside the core — keep sensitive traces or adjacent inductors at least one package width away to avoid coupling.
